Precision Rework Labs was founded by Ash Herz, a U.S. Army veteran who served as an electronics technician in the Army. Ash completed formal Army electronics training and holds university electronics certifications, bringing military-grade discipline, documentation, and repeatability to every board that reaches the bench.

Across our staff, PRL brings together more than three decades of combined experience in comprehensive electronics engineering — from component-level diagnostics and micro soldering to firmware support and prototype assembly. That depth is why customers trust us with boards nobody else will touch.

Hands-on background

  • Printing press electronics — assembly, troubleshooting, and programming, including Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLC programming plus control panel assembly, testing, and commissioning.
  • U.S. Army military radar systems — component-level and PCB troubleshooting and repair.
  • Miami-Dade Transit fare-collection systems — electronics installation and repair.
  • Military thermal electro-optics (current) — PCB assembly, diagnosis, provisioning and app testing, functional verification, rework, and firmware upload/update via STM, Lattice, and PuTTY toolchains, working directly with engineers and manufacturers. Over 4,000 boards tested, troubleshooted, and reworked from January 2026 to date.
